Incident friday night

I think you are going to get stung for the cash but i would firmly ask to see CCTV footage from the area and only after will you pay the excess.

It will most definitely have been filmed from some angle. Its a matter of can you be arsed to pursue this all the way, if what you say is true.

No one was there, how can anyone possibly comment?

Do you want page after page of comments stating that you were correct to do what you did?

Time for the OP to learn how to moderate his drinking or find a drink that doesn't turn him into a raging Tyrannosaurus.

No.

I wanted comments like that windows are harder when closed up than wound down and to ask for CCTV footage of thew area before paying fines.

I dont really want to pursue it and get solicitors involved, because as I have said I had been drinking for 7 hours.

Ill speak to someone at work tomorrow who may have been there.

The whole statement from the taxi driver was how I described it - I was abusive to him, he drove off, I ran after him and punched the window 3 times, breaking it. Obviously a lot more detail, street name, time etc but that was basically it

To be honest, I would rather make it quick for everyone to clear up. Pay the taxi excess, take the charge (I have already anyway) and put it down to being too drunk and dont put my arms in any more taxi windows

He's going to want compensation too if you admit guilt, a Friday/Saturday night is a taxi's busiest time and they pocket everything they make, as they pay the taxi company to use their radios.

If you can't remember what happened, and were leaning through the window while drunk (which seems to me could be a sign that you were being aggressive), then perhaps it was your fault.

But unless you can remember or have independent witnesses / CCTV what are you going to do about it.

I'm not sure, but I did have enough money to get home so not sure why I would have been abusive.

Seeing that I was stuck in the window he should not have drove off with me trapped in it

Mate, if you got yourself into such a state that you can't remember what you did, just drop it.

You don't know for sure what you said or how you acted, but if you hadn't gotten yourself so drunk then I'm 99.999% sure you wouldn't have gotten into that situation.

Drop what? I havent accused him of anything, or have I by saying I was trapped in the window.

You are correct, I wouldnt have.

You were drunk with your arms inside his passenger window so unless you have video footage to prove your side of the story you don't stand chance really, the police will just assume you're yet another drunken thug terrorising innocent taxi drivers.
