Hi Guys

We have a very cool upcoming platform from AMD in the office that Gibbo has been testing today, it overclocks like a demon and best of all, plays the latest games at decent resolutions from its onboard graphics!!!

We cant disclose too much info about it at the moment but im sure the majority of you will be able to use your Google-Fu to work out what it is

This is running a 1680x1050 resolution on Borderlands 2 at max settings.

That's impressive for a onboard GPU

Thanks for wasting 10 seconds of my precious life with the OcUK logo at the beginning :p

Nevertheless, very impressive performance :D

Desktop trinity you would assume, IE 5800K, the 5600k has a noticeably worse gpu though still noticeably better than the best Intel has, the 5800k is decent enough horsepower with a really very good gpu for gaming.

Thats quit impressive I read the pre review from anandtech but they were only allowed to release the gpu data for now iirc but it seemed to stack up well. It should do quite well for a HTPC or a budget conscious individual.

I take it Borderlands 2 is not demanding GPU wise then,

This is insanely good for an iGP and will allow decent gaming on any basic laptop with it in there. Not to mention that it will drastically reduce the cost of new laptops that don't need to add a dedicated low-end GPU. If performance proves to be i5 can see NV losing a wee chunk of the low-end market over this.

Its very well optimised but it still does take a fairly decent card to max it. I can max it on my 5850 and it runs at 60fps but has some slow down in parts still. For trinity to be able to max it at that res shows it has quite a power behind it.

CPU side it'll be a far cry from i5.
But kinda irrelevant given its purpose.
