Indian Grand Prix 2012, New Delhi - Race 17/20

Australia/Malaysia/China and Italy/Singapore/Japan all on one engine are good enough reasons.

After Malaysia and Italy respectively the engine would be very tired. The teams would lose a lot less re-using it somewhere like Monaco or Hungary and not having it expire in a cloud of smoke at another high usage circuit.

A subtle rule rewrite is more sensible than changing the calendar.

Damn, I hate talking about engines and how long they will last.

Here is some pitlane gossip, relating to Alonso:
http://www.f1sa.com/index.php?optio...la-1-personnel-in-india&catid=1:f1&Itemid=157

"I [Alonso] want my 1.2 million followers to know that the key aerodynamic components at the rear of the Ferrari are still the same as they were in May"

...apparently Pat Fry tried to push the blame on Alonso and Massa for not driving fast enough. Alonso is trying to push the blame at his design team.

I love Alonso's fighting spirit, through.

If the sword breaks, fight with your hands," he said, quoting a samurai. "If they cut your hands, push the enemy with your shoulders, even your teeth.

...that's the spirit.

Funny considering Alonso ran the new diffuser/exhaust and wing in India and Felipe was with the old :D

Load of rubbish really. Fry's comments after qual were the same as pretty much every qual.

you would think its the first time a steering wheel ever got changed at a pitstop with the way you guys go on :P

Come on now, it was a heroic pitstop by Lewis takes amazing balls to have done that stop, other drivers would simply have retired :p
