Nice looking systems.

You need to alter the descriptions on the Corona, Pulsar and Cube as unless I am mistaken the GFX cards are not watercooled.

Not that I'm seriously looking, but would adding your own tertiary and optical drives invalidate the warranty?

no, we are perfectly happy for you to add your own personal touch to the systems. As long as you don't make drastic changes that cause issues why would we object?

I am seriously interested in the Infinity Series - they look outstanding.
Really need to get some more pictures up soon. Think am going to break the bank and order up a 'Quasar' really soon - but it would be great to see it and get a full spec on the cooling system before going for it.
There seems to be a big push to mention the top of the line CPU's used within the build - but not too much about the spec's for the graphics cards in any of the systems.? In the Tesseract there are 780's and in the Quasar they are clearly watercooled Titans which are in SLI configuration - but are they standard cards or overclocked - or can they be overclocked.? A Top Line system like this surely must have top spec cards to match.?
Cant wait to get more info. and pics.!!!

The cards can be overclocked with the right software. We reserve GPU overclocking for 8Pack systems because all of our other systems come with a clean install of Windows, so we are unable to pre-load OC software. (We'd have to OC GPU at BIOS level and that risks warranty)

I'm determined to get the Quasar built & photographed soon, we are just waiting on a container load of watercooling parts to land.

If your waiting on parts to arrive - does that mean a delay in building if I was to order a Quasar within the next week.?
Overclockers do sell a overclocked water cooled EVGA 780 - could this be added to a build of one of these systems, possibly.?

We only have one missing part & that is on its way to us from Germany as of this morning so we should be fine.

If you want to change to the EVGA Hydrocopper we could do that, you'd have to call us and pay any difference in price, but we think our choice of block is better than the OEM one that EVGA use.

I will take your word for it - but in that case - the system would be running a standard spec card using the EK water block. Would be well cooled but standard clock speeds.? Not sure what to do or which choices to make.
I would like the exact 'Quasar' build which you have spec'd on the web site - but to remove the titans and replace them with 780's. I feel that its much more cost effective.? Small drop in performance - but large drop in price.
Any suggestions.?

We are flexible but I couldn't really recommend any improvements because I made it as good as I could make it for the targeted price point.

Probably my only recommendation is already available as an option. Have a primary SSD for the OS and a larger secondary SSD for your games.

Appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. For me - this is an expensive system and I want to make sure I get it right. I suppose that two 780's aren't exactly slow and will still provide outstanding performance.

absolutely, the Tesseract uses GTX 780s & that's my personal favourite of all the systems that we build. Obviously due to the similarities in base spec between the Quasar and Tesseract it made sense to default one to Titan and the other to GTX 780.

Would be interested to wait and build the system using the New 780 TI's. Any idea when you guys will actually have them available.? End of next month.?

Unfortunately we don't have enough firm information about launch, pricing or even availability to really give you a clear answer. That said, the biggest problem that we'd face is unlikely to be the cards themselves, it'll be the water blocks which we won't get until a while after the card is launched, typically 3-6 weeks.

Been following your posts Karbon and i was torn between a few of the different systems. Got a Tesseract on order as of yesterday so will let you know how much of a beast it is next week if work can spare me for a few days to tinker with it.

Would be very interested to hear how you get on with your new system. I am stuck between the two systems and would like to hear about how yours performs and what you think of the build. If you get any good data and results overclocking the GPU's - let me know. Good Luck.
Did you specify any changes/upgrades to the system when you ordered it.?

I called up yesterday lunch and did the order over the phone. I changed the SSD to a 250gb as i've got one of those in my current system so may end up RAIDing it. Didn't change any of the basic specs as i'd previously queried a few things about the chosen setup. I think it's detailed in one of the threads about the infinity systems that the components being used are "tried and tested" and proven performers rather than the systems looking to use the absolute latest cards fresh from the suppliers although i'm sure one of the staffers can explain it a lot better than i can.

Don't know if they've done a build log for any of the systems yet but the older build logs i've read by the OC staff are amazing and you can see the effort that goes into the stuff they assemble. I'm currently using one of OC's lower prebuilt systems that i got about 3 years ago and that's been a stalwart and has served me well till all this new gen of games appeared and started hammering it hehe.

Once i get a hold of it i'm sure i'll stick a review up along with photos and me grinning like an idiot with a disapproving woman in the background

I wouldn't RAID them myself, it makes very little difference at that sort of performance level. My recommendation would be to use one for OS and the other for games. This also means that you won't have to reinstall Windows.

I've decided that I'll construct your system myself, we have a brand new (finished today) area just for myself and 8pack to develop systems, so this will be the christening :D No doubt 8Pack will have his input as always, especially on the RAM tweaking.

Also, if you are happy to allow us, we would like to turn this build into a build log for the forums and we'll get our resident photographer to take many good pictures. Is that OK with you?
