Inflation adjusted price history of nVidia GPUs

Also in relativity and what I probably explained really badly or glossed over is that memory back then was more expensive to produce with general higher costs if you worked out the relative calculations to extrapolate how much the 64 SDRAM memory back then it was a lot.

Certainly interesting to see that overall picture. It eludes that we should have had 8GB in 2016 (which we did with AMD) and this time next year should be on 16GB Memory which at the moment seems to be on target with what AMD are suggesting.
