I think the best saving product on the market at the moment is meant to be the Santander 123 current account.

Bit confused as why people are so uppity about it. She's dead, he's asking for advice on the money - not like he can't grieve in his own way (if he needs to) and still get advice.

Money for a deposit, buy a second house/flat, rent it out. Tidy £ every month if you can deal with the hassle. End up with a house at the end of it.

Get the camera too.

Make sure your car(s) are in tip top shape or buy a new one if your current is on its last legs.

Home improvements?

Home media improvement? Might aswell make what you do in your spare time more enjoyable.

Save the rest.

Depends one the amount.

Flats in East london are a good buy at the moment, you can get a new build 2 bed 2 bath for £190k which rent for £1000 to £1100 per month.

75% BTL mortgage so you put down about £50k each.

Just out of interest, where in East London can you buy a 2 bed 2 bath for £190K?

15k? If you can add some more to that then buy to let up norf? Must be the best way to invest that amount of money still? I may stand corrected but that's what I would have thought.

Sorry to hear your bad news. Merry Xmas.

If only you could buy class

This thread seems to have gotten you really worked up for some reason hasn't it buddy?

My condolences OP, I would be paying off any debts and investing the rest, but I would certainly treat myself to something nice as well.
