Injections

3 things I hate.

1. Balloons. Horrid, scratchy things that pop for no reason.
2. Heights.
3. Injections.

So I understand your pain. You gotta just grin and bear it. :)

Which ones you having done? I had HepA/Typhoid & Diptheria/Tetanus/Polio done a few weeks back. Was absolutely fine. An influenza vaccination is worse.

It's fine mannn.. I have to have a tooth out next week. Not looking forward to having them dig around in my gums while I can't feel my face.

Just sit down and tell them you don't like needles, look away and smile. It'll be over soon, and you won't die on your holiday :)

I'm the same - absolutely hate injections. Watching canulas and injections being administered, i'm fine with. But anything on me, and I hate it.

Although, 2 seconds after you have it, I realise i'm being the biggest girl ever and it didn't hurt in the slightest. Just keep remembering this, and you'll be fine

Tip if your getting blood taken etc always ask for a butterfly needled. its so small you can barely feel it :)

Nope white needle once you had that you will fear nothing else again! If you do want to really wimp out though you could ask for the magic cream they use on the kids :p

HepA/Typhoid & Diptheria/Tetanus/Polio in the left arm, and Hep B/Rabies in the right arm. I need four more injections for HepB/Rabies and possibly 3 more for Japanese Encephalitis if I decide to have it. Hep B/Rabies are optional, as is JE, but there have been outbreaks of Rabies/JE in Thailand recently, and HepB is free so might as well have it done. Rabies/JE are £150 each though!

Bizarre the whole thing - it didn't hurt at all. It's been a long time since I had injections and my younger mind obviously built up a fear of it, but now I know :).
