Injuries & Suspensions Thread

It sucks but luckily it's a position we have a lot of depth in. Happy to see Lindelof getting more games, he's really improved this last month.

So Jose has confirmed Bailly is having surgery and will be out for 2-3 months. It's a blow but it's in an area where we should be able to cope with it.

Come on Shami, Jones is one retarded lunge or tackle away from an injury at all times, Lindelof has been pretty good lately but the jury is still very much out on him at the moment. That leaves us with Smalling as out only reasonably reliable CB. Bailly will be a big loss. I just hope they get the surgery done asap so that he can be back for the tail end of the season.

It's a shame about Bailly, imo he's our best CB, but we do have some excellent depth at the position with Jones, Smalling, Lindelof and Rojo, plus then we have Blind who can play CB if we got a few more injuries. I think we'll be fine without Bailly for the time being, I'd rather the club give him all the time he needs to fully recover than rush him back and risk an injury.

As I said Jones has been better than Bailly this season, then Lindelof and Smalling have both been great lately and Rojo is back now. And then we have Tuanzebe who has barely played and Blind was great last week against CSKA as part of a 3 man defence, we have so many options.

Best defence in the league so losing one player isn’t a big deal.

Best goalkeeper in the league ;)

Our defence has been quite lucky over the past few seasons in my view. The number of times we have been spared by **** finishing has amazed me.
