inno3D GTX 970 OC Overheating Fix

Mine turned up today, both of them the brackets are mounted correctly - not that it matters much to me as the air coolers are in the process of being taken off.
Have run one through it's paces this morning with the stock cooler in place doing a few benchmarks and got similar to yourself maxed at around 67 degrees, fan is pretty much silent when it is doing so.

There was no need to remove the entire cooler to fix this issue, his card has been sent with the black plastic shrouds on the wrong ends.
It's two seconds with the included allen key to undo them and reverse them to correct it. No warranty violation, no paste to mess about with, well unless you want to, I would imagine it would just sort itself out once the springs of the cooler can get it into position properly on the GPU die.

The cutout for the DVI brackets is at the wrong end highlighted below

For clarity my own card cooler was mounted the right way round - or at least it was till I took it off to fit my waterblocks

When you guys talk about returning it, do you mean under DSR? Are you allowed to unpack and use a product and then return under DSR? Or is this via some other no quibble return policy??

Not any more. The Distance Selling Regulations have been replaced by the Consumer Contracts Regulations now, which state you have the right to inspect the goods to the same degree you'd have in a shop prior to returning them for a refund. You cannot "use" them and then return them expecting a full refund.

This was always a bit of a grey area under the DSR and needed clarification. The new regs make far more sense as it's simply not fair on retailers to be forced to provide a full refund for used goods.

Mine came today and looks neat and tidy, however it is coil whine central when under load and runs pretty darn hot like yours does too. Not too impressed, going to speak to customer services in the morning I think pretty poor show inno 3d
