I read somewhere on here, a link to a website that tells you how to install your first ssd
can anyone help me please, my PC just gone down and im currently on a laptop with an ssd drive on its was to me

your pc hdd has failed then? you just plug in the ssd in its place and insert the windows disc and boot from dvd drive,install windows onto the ssd

or did you mean cloning?(making exact bootable copy of your old windows/hdd install)

ohh and if a clean install make sure you set the sata ports to ahci mode in the bios before you install windows,esp on x58 as it defaults to ide,if cloning then boot as normal and do a reg tweak/restart into bios set to ahci mode, that's it,i can post the reg tweak if needed

I just bought an ssd drive last night when my pc was working, come home from work, turn it on and it doesent work anymore

just a normal installation, not clone
