having issues installing these sizes drives in windows seven

installed them as 1.99gb drives but wont let me do anything now to them

format or reallocated the partitions.. so i ,m losing massive space

every time i try i get can not do anything to boot drive on both. neither are the boot drive

help please

to be sure, you checked in disk manager console?

start/ right click my computer/manage/storage/disk management

right click the drives and try to format them, then create a gpt disk

There's a convert to gpt option on the right click menu for the grey drive icon at the left side of the disk management view. It'll be greyed out until, I assume, you remove all the current partitions.

sorted it managed to reformat using the hirens boot cd and then rebooted allowing me to delete partitions and gpt the lot into single drives
