found it quite simple, first did it at 16 years of age in my nans bedroom and living room, the plaster type, all you need is a mitre block to cut your angles, its really simple, would rather put up coving than wallpaper
My Dad showed me how to do wallpaper, once you have been shown it is really rather easy as well. Most of the trick is getting your paste the correct consistency, preparing the wall surface (free of debris/dry) and letting the paste soak into the paper for a bit before putting it on the wall.
It's an easy job to do, not that you would know it looking at the coving that was in our house when I moved in
I've put coving up in 3 houses, mother in laws and her dads, new houses and it was easy, then my mums house with wonky walls. More challenging but still looked good once painted.
