Hey guys, I have a Product Key for Windows 7, and I was wondering where the best place I can find a raw download or something for it would be? Any ideas?

Yes, then boot to it.

Make sure you have the correct edition and architecture.

I downloaded the windows7 professional 64bit english, and its finished downloading (took 45mins or so) and have it saved to desktop, when i go to open it it says that

"To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it. Windows can go online to look up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs that are installed on your computer"

any ideas?

It is an ISO so you need to burn it to DVD, use something like IMGburn which is free just Google it :)

Thats what I was thinking, so once I burn it onto a CD, and put it into my computer when I build it, it will work all fine? DL'ing IMGburn now

Yeah it should do :) just make sure that your BIOS is set to boot from the CD/DVD drive first before any other device and it will/should prompt you to press any key to boot from cd.

Great, well now I have to find a CD that can hold 3gig's of memory :o

I tend to burn the iso and keep it stored somewhere, and then boot from usb key. Can alway re-create a usb key from the dvd then if needed...

okay guys, I got the ISO file (3.1gigs) and its on my desktop now. I also have the windows7usbcreator. I have an 8gig USB plugged into my laptop now, when I open it and try to put the iso file onto it this comes up:

(had to put url as the
didn't work).

I was looking around, and is there anything that I need to do with the iso file before I can put it onto the usb? currently it is just a white file on my desktop and I cannot open it as it says it needs another programme to run with it. Do i need to extract anything or?
