Insulate Britain and Extinction Rebellion, domestic terrorists?

I see these idiots are at Old Street roundabout today. Not an area they'll last long in, I can guarantee that.

I’d love for you to be right about that, and either the cops nick them all, or they get kicked to the kerb by frustrated drivers, but I don’t suppose that either of those scenarios will play out.
In all seriousness, what makes you sure that they won’t last long?
I reiterate, I’d love you to be right.

By pointing out the representative from IB didn't have his own house insulated?
No it was his behaviour in the final few minutes regarding the whole Churchill comparison which clearly wasn't where the bloke was gunning for.
Was intentionally missing the point for the sake of a easy cheap shot/ bit of TV drama.

Meanwhile in France a man was dragged off a Eurostar train for wearing the wrong type of facemask by "at least eight uniformed police officers". I wonder what would happen if IB tried what they're doing over there

Donning my pedant’s hat, it wasn’t Eurostar, it was a TGV service, and it wasn’t the wrong type of mask, it was no mask at all.
Personally I’d have had no objection if he’d been guillotined on the platform.

“A passenger on a train in France was forced to get off after refusing to wear a face mask.

The unnamed man was travelling on the TGV Paris-Nice service on 16 August when he was asked to put on a face covering, which are currently mandatory on French public transport.

He repeatedly refused, until the decision was taken to make an unscheduled stop so the man could be kicked off.

The train doesn’t normally stop before reaching Marseille, but railway security opted to eject the traveller at Creusot in the Saône-et-Loire region of eastern France – around 470km away from the next scheduled stop.”

I work on top of the roundabout. Literally right on top. The tensions around there are always ridiculously high due to the roundabout works which have screwed up the traffic because a few cyclists are more important than the rest of society, and the project was meant to finish over two years ago. Add in the petrol station where there's always, always queues at the moment and by the time people get to the front of the queue, they're generally ready to rip someone's throat out, and the locals there are generally all council trash with zero ***** to give about any of this insulate Britain nonsense. Shame I was off today, I reckon it would've been hilarious to watch.

Indeed. Totally twisted his words there. Not to mention resorting to insults when he wouldn't back down. Lmao, what a bell. Oh, and the ceaseless interrupting was so jarring, it just demonstrated how amateurish they all are.

police should stop showing up - let the public deal with it - not so smart gluing yourself down with nobody there to protect you

I'm not sure how much damage the glue would even do, it's more just a delay tactic when the police are there.

If there was an ambulance trying to get through then I think trying to drag them out of the way as some people did recently in London is still reasonable, no punching or kicking, they just grabbed them and moved them from the road. If there is glue then maybe it will sting a bit like ripping off a plaster or perhaps a small top layer of skin but it's probably not really going to do much damage.

Apparently I owe Blackjack Davy an apology over this, after discussing it with a family member from Lens, I learned that the TGV ejection tale happened last year, and the Eurostar ejection was more recently :(

At this point I really do not see what they are achieving, they arent making people apply pressure on the government for change, they arent making people annoyed or angry at the government, all they are doing is making people more and more annoyed/angry at them. I dont think I have ever in my lifetime seen anyone undermine their own agenda quite as effectively as Insulate Britain. The government doesnt need to do anything because with every passing day more and more of the population turns against Insulate Britain and any message that IB are trying to get across is increasingly being lost by hatred toward them of their own creation. They also desperately need to stop putting the likes of Liam Norton and Tracey Mallagan in front of tv cameras because they really are not helping things with the way they act in interviews, its again undermining themselves. The message they have is valid but my god do they need to hire a strategist or something because the only people damaging their campaign at the moment is themselves.

Condensed version. "They're thick as planks" ;)

Here they go again today

They need a good ******* kicking at this point, they are nothing but terrorists now and should be treated as such. Bringing everything to a standstill is bloody insane as it effects everyone. Before long someone is going to get extremely angry and kill one or more and at this point they deserve it, if you sit on a main road and get run over and die so be it.

No, people do not deserve to be murdered for holding a peaceful protest. As for people being extremely angry, that Karen(ken) looked a bit mad.
