Shocking, isn't it? I don't think i've seen a thread that comes close to this one in terms of the OP completely ignoring every bit of advice he is given.

There are a few more... Phate buying a brand new ashtray 1.6 for example

In defense of the OP the problem with the Grande Punto is its still new to find many on the used market.

Well that's easily fixable, if he wants to spend a similar amount of money on a used car he can get something infinitely better than a grande punto tbh.

Yep, still a lot of money.

By this rate i'm going to have to go for a Corsa SXI with a years free insurance.

You are a salesmans dream. You really think the insurance is 'free'

Ahahahahaha. You pay list price, you get 'free' insurance. That means you have to pay over £10k for a 1.2 litre Corsa..

Andy

My flatmate at Uni did almost the same thing. 3 and a bit years later he can't afford to upgrade to something nicer and is still driving a 1.0 Corsa that is worth a third of what he paid for it. It's also out of warranty and things keep going wrong with it, plus all his mates are driving much nicer cars.

Basically it was a terrible decision.
