Insurance Prices!

Oh dear i saw this thread yesterday and &@£& have they gone up in the last two months... Its actually Seriously affected my ability to upgrade this year... Looks like im getting a 306 gti6 instead of a mr2(non turbo) now....
I literally considered "upgrading" to a zetec s earlier it was that bad
Mr2 is now 2100 a year
306 gone up from 1400 to 1800

Upside of this is that i will end having a mr2 turbo after the 306 in all likely hood :D

motor insurance = legalised theft.
When a kid gets quoted £3000 for a car worth about £1000 you got to wonder if incorrectly wired robots are on the other end of the phone.
It's also no wonder that there are so many uninsured drivers.

What's the value of the car that the kid might crash into?

That's true, people think insurance money is there for their car's value only, you have to take into account, admin fee's, repairs to other peoples car's when it's your fault, and damages to people possibly injured or maimed.

The old guy who crashed into the back of my car, probabley paid less insurance than what it has actually cost to replace the bumper and exhaust on my car.

In saying that he figures they generate based on risk, and trends are pretty crappy.

Mine was £1,700 this year, hopefully it will go down next year unlike my bike insurance this year, which went up around 100%, even though I never claimed for an accident I had, and paid for the parts myself, lol.
