Insurance time!

I was with Quinn for my first year. They are no longer competitive.

Direct Line,Tesco etc won't touch me until I'm 21 on the VTR.

Is windscreen cover actually worth it? I can't protect my NCB's as I only have 2.

I'd take the windscreen cover just to be sure. When the rear windscreen shattered in my VTR for no apparent reason, it left me £130 out of pocket. :(

Says on my insurance certificate that "The policyholder, if they have a full EU licence, may also drive, with the permission of the owner, any Pricate Motor Car subject to the terms and the conditions of the policy" and in the policy just states that the vehicle must not be modified, the vehicle must not be owned by the policy holder and that you are covered third party only.

I'm 21 but been insured tpft with them since I was 18 and it has said this on every certificate they have given me. Very reasonable prices too, I pay just under £400 on a Xsara TD with 3 years ncb.

Lies, sexy irish women answer the phones

:o

Thats shocking if true. Im also with Quinn on a TPFT policy, would be bloody handy if it turns out I have DOC cover.

If its only £130 for a windscreen I probably wouldnt bother especially as the excess on some policies is now £70.

I took it out but only becuase a new screen for mine is £790.

Glad I've got windscreen cover, must arrange for a new screen as I got yet another stone chip today thanks to people zooming past on newly resurfaced roads

I'm really a very good driver. ;)

Have they stopped running those criminally bad ads with Michael Winner? I haven't seen one for ages.

Its weird, since gaining > 5NCB, i've found most insurance companies just aren't competitive, the ones I've been with for years are now more expensive each year (), and more insurers now won't touch me than they did before :/

Oh well, esure will have my custom come renewal, £450 this time.

That on the LCR?

It will only cost me an extra £150 to insure a 306 gti with a higher market value. Yet it's an extra £450 for a Saxo VTS.

Crazy. GTi any day.

I will never use esure due to the fact the guy on the adverts is a class one *****.

Funny enough i've never had an issue with increasing premiums even when staying with the same company.
