insurance!

but you can't judge one person on the whole nation!

i hate the fact that i have to pay extorinate amount to drive, and women younger and less experciend than me are paying less! that is really unfair and completely sexist! i'm a decent driver, hardly speed i'm aware of my surroundings at all times and i've never had any bother with anything to do with driving. still, i'm being charged more?

RISK

Plus you were involved in an accident that wrote your car off, that makes you even more risky. Even if it wasn't your fault.

How do you expect them to work out premiums?
Somebody sit beside you for a week watching you drive and then give you a premium based on that?

Young male drivers are far more likely to have accidents - fact.
That is why you have a higher premium.
Because on the balance of information on you - you are a high risk.

Especially as most non-fault accidents were actually avoidable by the non-faulty party*

It demonstrates that you have a tendancy to park in places which then result in your car being hit. Harsh but fair.

No it doesnt. If a car in the same spot was hit often then fair enough. But a freak incident doesnt mean i park in bad places.
