yea it's damn good fun. you have the standard free for all 32 man maps (maybe more - can't remember) but if you like a bit more in the way of tactics there is 5v5.

I generally stick to the 5v5. but both modes are unforgiving, think hardcore mode on BF or COD - there's none of this having to empty a full magazine into folk to get them down to half health. this is more like a couple of shots and you're waiting on a respawn!
 
I've recently started replaying this too. Played the mod years back,, bought the retail one but never really bothered until now. Any of you guys here still play regularly? Great game but would be tops with a few of us organised on comms.
 
Have to admit I've stopped playing. Got a little stale and I'm not on the PC as much (turned into a dirty console gamer in part). Had a good 200 hours out of it though.

Hmmmmmm very unsure of this after reading I smell gonna be a console ### they it won't but very unsure gonna sit on the ropes I reckon with that been stung so many times in past with game development saying this and that.

I do love insurgency though great little game. Time will tell
 
I fired this up for a proper play for the first time since buying it last year. Played push mode initially and was pretty frustrated for the first 10 minutes as I kept on getting killed seemingly out of nowhere, however because the game mode is quite long you get to learn the layout of the maps pretty quickly and after 30mins I was having a right laugh playing it. Very intense as you can die pretty much instantly at any time, had quite a few jump scares :p
 
If you like insurgency, I highly recommend you try workshop resurgence and Socom mods.
Insurgency is like having three games in one now, excellent.
