As the title Asus is adding baseline profiles via bios update to z790 to address i9 stability concerns, full story below, the new profiles reduce performance of a 14900ks by around 12%

It sounds like all the profile does is revert to Intel's settings, which unless I'm missing something, Asus should have been following in the first place? :mad:

Not sure what every other manufacture's settings are like, but yeah Asus has a rep to push clocks more with mce, both on intel and amd. odd we dont have reports of simliar crashing on amd systems. unless i've been living under a rock XD

A year ago Asus was largely responsible for 7000 Ryzens, especially the X3D chips burning up. Their MCE profiles seem a bit slapdash.
