Not really a CPU for gaming, to me they just seem like Xeons for desktop.

If your a gamer, 7700K or Ryzen 1600 to be honest at a fraction of the price.

Turbo 3.0 is 4.4 on that 18 core. Thats decent, the price however.

Largely irrelevant if only one or two cores peak at that under light loads. What is important is what these do under sustained multithreaded loads.

Still, its faster than the competition but at a price. You cant have faster and cheaper.

No solder on any of the current range of Intel CPUs.

These will have a 0% chance of hitting high core speeds on multi-threaded loads unless cooled with phase or ln2, you'll be relying on Turbo boost 3.0 to do its 'thing' which in all honesty is the pits.

This is one of the worst cpu line up releases i have ever seen.

Anyway , Intel already had an answer for the workstation, Its called XEON.
