Short lifespan. I doubt they'll sell many at these prices and amd rules the market right now.
Already 100+ have sold, because no matter what AMD do there shall always be customers who want Intel and only Intel.

Will these ship by the 20th? If not, when?
Are all units available?
Thanks in advance!
Yes we have stock but that stock is pre-selling, we shall be shipping all orders on 20th. If you want to ensure you get one then you need to order sooner rather than later as supply is tight at the moment.

We only really tried K upto now. All ES where K and we are binning K right now. Previous gen k was better... Like I say this not sure...Only difference is the F variant doesn't come with on board graphics. In theory, this is one less thing to make heat so lower temperatures and longer boost. In practice, no difference in the real world and each as likely as the other to win the silicon lottery and run better.
Runs fine on 240 aio with decent fans. Seems they improved TIM 1 considerably.I guessing 125w TDP is way off the amount of cooling they actually need. It will be interesting to see how hot they get; a 10 core, 14nm, running at 5.0Ghz+
Thank you, mate. I will order tomorrow. Delidding disaster with 6700k today

'No the 6700k is dead, unfortunately. I bought an Aquacomputer Dr Delid tool that failed to remove the cpu and started to bend the piece that pushes the heat spreader, where the bolt touches. I triple checked I was doing it right, and couldn't find an issue, but it just wouldn't budge the heat spreader. I didn't have a razor blade so used a sharp knife from there. I managed to gouge the pcb on one edge and that seems to be enough to destroy the cpu. Black screen on start up. My fault for not being patient and ordering a razor blade!'

Some people like a challengeAfter seeing some possible "not 100% confirmed accurate benchmarks" I think I know why they called it "Comet Lake", without a good cooler it will burn up on entry

Yeah no interest from me at those prices, (not a dig at OC more at Intel)
