INTEL CORE i3 4.00GHz OVERCLOCKED BUNDLE - £349.99 inc VAT

i said about the same i didnt say about the same here. you can get a retail 965 for 120quid including vat elsewhere ;)
will easily beat and i3 530

How come this isn't bundled with the H50 ? Would OC consider doing another package with the H50 in the bundle?

EDIT Or an upgrade drop down box +25.00 For H50 Heat Sink upgrade for example?

We do not offer it due to this being a more entry level bundle, we would gladly modify it for you as we tested the bundle with far less cooling power. Just contact sales on 0871 910 9101 and they will guide you through modifying it no problem at all.

Are the integrated graphics disabled for this overclock, to improve the thermal conditions?

Great value though - makes £700 i7 bundles look a bit silly! :D

Enabled and benchmarked at the same time the CPU was benchmarked, stable under all conditions. :)

Depends what benchmark you are talking about, single threaded performance is where these i3 chips shine, on a single threaded app I would take one of these over my 920 C0 any day of the week.

Remmember this is a day after launch bundle, made to work on a comercial scale with full support from our back end.

We have gotten to 4.7GHz so far on air using a retail chip from our stock and we have in the pipeline a more extreme bundle on a higher featured motherboard, but this will obviously not offer the same stunning value for money as this baby does!

There we go guys, check out the bundle now and you will note a drop down list allowing you to upgrade your CPU cooler to the Corsair H50-1. :)

Extra £10 or so at the moment for the H50-1.

Thanks Yewen. Very tempted! Can get a very nice build with all the other parts I'm after for around £750. Not bad at all.

This is the latest I've come up with but might stick in a 5850 instead of 5770.

One more noob question. What is the advantage/disadvantage of running an i5 at 4Ghz over an i3 at 4Ghz? Surely the clock speed is all that matters to me? No?

I was going to get the i5 Bundle but seeing as how I can save £150 and get the i3 bundle, I'll get the i3.

My next upgrade come payday at the end of feb. Hopefuly the prices drop by then. :P

It is purely a case of Dual Core v Quad Core with the relevant optimisations. If you are running just games then there will be next to no difference, certainly not for the money.

If you are doing serious video editing or encoding then the quad core would start to stretch its legs.
