Intel Core i7 "Haswell-E" to Launch in Q3 2014 an eight-core part around the $600 mark

I would like the see the igp removed from the high end parts so they can move the cores further apart to aid cooling.

They already do on SB-E and IB-E, none of the socket 2011 CPUS have an IGP. They also use solder for the 2011 CPU heat-spreaders not TIM. Added to which, the HW-E chips are socket 2011-3 (Same number of pins as 2011 but incompatible). If they haven't increased the pin count, it's unlikely they have suddenly included an IGP.

To be honest every K model should be without an IGP. Who in their right mind would buy an unlocked processor even if its mainstream tech and not have a proper dedicated graphicscard to run with it?

TBH i am thinking about getting 4 core one +ddr4. And then upgrade to 6 or 8 core when next gen of E comes out :P

well, if i'm gonna jump ship, this would be one hell of a way to do it.

problem is that then my gpu will be the bottleneck not the other way round, and i've got a 290 x :O
Actually dx is still probably the biggest bottleneck... :p

The reason why we all got crazy high-end CPU and could still get crappy frame rate in certain games is because of the inefficiency of dx. Hopefully dx12 would deliver in the terms of improving efficiency that would live up to the hype.

That's what you want though. A good CPU/Motherboard combo should last you at least 2 GPU cycles.

I've still got a pair of GTX670s with a 3930K which is more than enough for them.
