**Intel i3 7350K (Unlocked i3)**

My htpc never ran faster than when it had an i3 4370. It now has an i5 but gaming aside most of my applications were single threaded and i3>i5

This chip offers nothing to the overclocking ethos.

A 6400 i5 better value

Joke Chip this i3 Kabylake if you ask me!

You know that, I know that. It'll still sell very well and will be hailed as a great choice for overclocking on a budget.
Hopefully, the other big tech channels realise the issue with it and say as much.

I think this is a grab for one last bit of money in the entry to mid level from Intel; I think they see that RyZen is coming, and they know AMD have nearly always had better bang for buck at the lower end of the budget. By offering a fast, overclockable i3 in this sector they're trying to temp those people waiting for the budget parts from AMD, and soak up some sales.

Pity they want so much for it though, it would have gone down a storm at a ton or under.

I can't see the point either. It's not cheap, it's not going to be great at gaming or production even when clocked to the max.

I don't really get what you'd use it for. It'd be fine for an office PC but why would you want to overclock a PC to run office/browsing?

There's just no market for it at that price.. maybe in prebuillt systems.

It's solution looking for a problem. Why on earth would anyone buy this over a second hand i5?
