Intel SSD and the rest...

that's fair...How about reliability? Ever had any issue with it?

I wasn't so lucky with my G2. I bought an 80Gbyte G2 in December 2009 and in October this year Windows 7 threw up some SMART errors from it. The drive would still boot and all the data was there. Try a Google of 'end to end SMART error' and you will see I am not alone.

I have replaced it with an OCZ Vertex 2E 120 and I'm waiting for the Intel to return from RMA. I then have to decide what to do with it, sell or use elsewhere? I'm actually quite impressed with the Vertex 2, I was a bit uncomfortable with the fact that the good performance comes from compressing the data, but so far it seems the PC feels livelier than it did with the Intel.

I also have the vertex 2E & I am happy with it...My initial question was propped by the fact that I don't often hear people complain about their Intel SSD...

Yes, it's a common misconception. There is no controller/driver/drive/firmware combination at the moment that will allow TRIM to be passed through to a pair/group of SSDs in RAID.
