intel ssd roadmap?

It's only a matter of time before larger SSD's and lower priced drives appear.
I very much doubt this was an unintentional leak, more intentional to give customers an insight into the future to possibly encourage customers to wait rather than buy a competitors product. Some would say competitor products are currently leaving the Intel SSD's behind in terms of performance.

I'm not saying this because I think it's a bad thing, I very much like the Intel SSD products and actually if that timeline is correct it would tie in with my next overhaul of my main desktop perfectly :). So Intel, thanks for the intentional leak :)

All IMO of course

Will be interesting to see what kind of performance increase they will have over the current G2's...

This depends on whether they are going to be SATA-6Gb or not, something which was expected but conspicuously absent from the roadmap.

I do anticipate a 4k performance boost though, bringing them in line with a c300.

It doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know.

I'll be putting an SSD in my next build, would have to be at least 300GB though - right now that's just too expensive.

If the performance increase was just to bring it into line with the C300, I don't think it would be worth my while upgrading (from the 80GB G2) as I would only be doing so for increased performance and not increased size, as 80GB is still more than enough for my needs...

I will be getting at least one ssd next year when i do my complete upgrade so this is good because it can only get better and hopefully cheaper in that time :).
