I recently installed my Intel X25-M 80g G2 (latest firmware) and a fresh install of windows 7, i edited to registry to run in ACHI mode which works fine now but im struggling to find any kind of toolbox, the toolbox on intels site has been disabled to download. the problems according to intel with the toolbox dont really bother me, i always turn off system restore anyway and apparantly thats the only thing it effected. I have also read that win7 doesnt need the toolbox from intel if you have the MSACHI driver set to 0 in regedit which i do, the post on the intel boards about this is a constant back and forth arguement of yeh you need it and no you dont. (http://communities.intel.com/thread/8950?start=15&tstart=0)

Basically i just want to make sure all is ok with my drive and TRIM is enabled and doing what it should be doing. is trim an automated process or do i need to set up a schedule?

Any ideas?

Trim is an automated process - it kicks in when you delete and remove a file from trash effectively. As long as you are using the MW Win7 drivers you should be ok, trim currently does not work with the intel drivers.
