It was a joke Anyway I always wondered why anyone would buy a broken customers or gpu. Shows how I think, never occurred to me people would try to get a new one under warranty. I think I'd make a very bad wheeler dealer lol.
As for anal it applies to everyone that fiddles the system, it's not about you or anyone else here just the principle. I know, it's not fashionable. One person is neither here nor there, but visit countries where it is endemic, even things like the postal service and online shopping are nearly impossible to operate because most people are gaming the system.
I know exactly what you mean, and i don't honestly think you where trying to single me out. And yeah it goes on all the time, many of these items get sold on as brand new, which is why i will only buy from a retailer, friends or the mm, however if i buy something legitimately and it fails while still under the manufacturers warranty then of course i'm going to try and get a replacement and in my experience manufacturers are pretty good at honouring warranties, i just remain polite, to the point and hope for the best.
Lol, does anyone remember what happened to BFG?
Yeah they offered lifetime warranties on their gpus but i'm not certain if that was the only reason they went into liquidation, the problem with a policy like that is that you'd have to keep a huge stock of older products or basically give away new stock.forever. I keep most of my old pc tech and i have more working stuff from 14 years ago, the more complicated the tech has become the shorter its lifespan it seems
