Internal door smaller than frame

As titled really, moved in to a new place, and I have noticed that my bedroom door is smaller than it's frame.

This means that both light, sound, and draughts flow freely.

Draught excluder for the bottom is a no-brainer, but I am not sure what to do to seal off the top bit in the above picture.

Can't be permanent or too invasive as it's a rental.

Any ideas?

Upside down draught excluder ;)

A piece of wood the same width as door and the right thickness to take up the gap, nailed to top of door and painted to match.

I thought that, but it would be tricky as the gap isn't even the whole length of the door, it's a sort of long wedge.

Maybe some thick foam?

Yeah plant a piece of pine on the top and screw it on ( you can remove it if needed then)
Make sure it fits ok and paint it before you put it on. Again if you need to remove it it can be done without leaving any paint on the original door.
I said pine because its easier to plane to shape if the gap is a tad uneven.

That's possibly worrying. Is it the door or the frame that's not square?

I'd just get a new door. Should be pretty easy to find a reclaimed one.

Without seeing it, the gap might be there because there was a door saddle fitted at a time.
If your going to use a bit of wood, instead of screwing it to the bottom of the door, could you not fix it to the floor?

You can't really join to a door or frame without it cracking.

Rehang it and fit a large draft excluder at the base if you can't be bothered to replace it.

From that very close angle it's hard to see exactly what's going on but it looks like the door has dropped and/or frame and shifted.

You should be able to pack the bottom hinge and bring the door level at the top and put a excluder at the bottom.

The leading edge of the door might need plaining once you pack the lower hinge but I'd need to see a picture of the door against the jamb.

Actually, scrap that gaps way bigger then I thought. If you really want to fix it (in a rented property) then take it off it's hinges and lift the door, mark it's new hinge position and chop them in.
