My comp is now taking a long time to start up and I can hear a helluva noise coming from the machine when it is first switched on and I occassional get blue screen of death error messages. I am thinking therefore that it is time to change the internal hard drive. I have been looking around and would like to use a 2T SATA III internal hard drive costing less than £100.

Whilst I would have rather a SSD, the price is massive. I assume I would not have any problems replacing my old ata inernal drive with a SATA III.

Are their any pitfalls I should be watching out for? Any suggestions please?
