International Friendlies – England 29/05 & 02/06 *** Spoilers ***

I was going to mention something along those lines earlier, the amount of hostility in these England threads anyone would think people see Barcelona style football at their club every weekend :p

Trust me, that is something we don't see at villa :p

I'm glad we don't. Barcelona's style of play is boring as hell. At least supporting Villa isn't boring :p.

Worst result ever for us despite the two quality goals, Rubber Roy will say we nearly had them when all this game proves is Brazil are as **** as us. :p

Well, after that first half if anyone thought we would score 2 goals or nick a draw would have been laughed out of here. Not a bad result, if you forget the first half!

I agree on the Neymar front, just don't get all the hype. Really don't think he's going to be anything special at Barcelona.

I don't like the way the commentators are talking about this as an unbelievable result, this is the worst Brazilian team I have ever seen... :/

We actually looked very good for 10/15 minutes and caused them a number of problems. The rest of the game was absolutely horrific and only Hart kept this from being a 6 or 7-2 drubbing which is poor considering how far away from brilliant this Brazilian team are.

Job done Roy, Knighthood's in the post.

Hart had a good performance. A couple of good saves, but he never really looked in huge trouble tbh.

Unlucky England, some shoddy defending cost you the game.

Disappointed that Brazil didnt win, huge fan of their football but still cant defend for ****. Thank god for Paulinho and his stunning volley that spared Brazil their blushes.

Anyhow stunning goals from England in the second half, lucky for England that Hart made some decent saves in the first half otherwise this game would have been out of reach. Neymar was lively in the first half but second half he disappeared, dont think hes that great a player and will be interesting to see how he fares at Barca next season. One thing i noticed about him in the first half is that he is pretty greedy, there were a couple of times that he should have passed the ball but decided to go it alone. Thought Hulk was pretty decent tonight as well.
Personally i thought Brazils subs were not good and nearly cost them the game, taking off Oscar who was arguably their best player for Lucas Moura wasnt a sub i would have made.

But all in all a pretty decent game, Maracana stadium looks stunning from what it originally was.

Here's one thing, Neymar AGAIN hasn't shown me anything worth going crazy about, it's ridiculous to consider him anything like Messi and Ronaldo.

Hes 21 so has plenty of time to improve or not as may be the case. But i have to agree, he didnt really impress me all that much. I dont think he is going to be the best player ever, that honour belongs to Messi who has the complete game imho. But will be interesting to see how he links up with Messi next season, still imagine Messi will be Barca's main scorer.

:o :D
