Norway vs England - May 26th, ITV1 HD

England vs Belgium - June 2nd, ITV1 HD

Other international friendlies:

Looking forward to Norway scoring first and the fans rapidly turning on Hodgson and booing the team off by half-time. Enger-lund Enger-lund \o/

These 2 friendlies will be a test for us against 'average' European opposition. Norwegian game should be easier, Roy will probably experiment a lot for the first game

I don't think many England managers have lost their first game, probably due to a compete bunch of part timers being chosen but still I can't even see our lot losing this, the regulars will actually turn up on the eve of a tournament. If it wasn't then half of them would have backache and sod off on holiday to Dubai.

If he plays Carroll and downing I hope we get beaten.

I think he has to experiment in both games, given the injuries & youth promises already stated (without even considering Rooney missing for 1st two games of Euros)

Will be interesting to see team selections, but Im sure England will under perform as usual lol

Frankly I'll be surprised if NotHarry doesn't get booed as soon as he emerges for kick off.

be surprised if he does, would imagine, save for injuries, that the first game will be his starting 11 for the first game of the euro's, might well be the same starting 11 for the 2nd game as well unless some of the subs impress in the 2nd half of the first game.

Well in itself that is an experiment is it not - given the only reliable english striker is out of 1st two games

unless he can inspire the sleeping giant of a Liverpool striker, or fluke a performance or three out of welbeck:D

not really, as he's got no real choice in the matter :D

personally i still don't see rooney as a striker, he drops to deep to often.

would prefer hodgson to play carroll/welbeck up front and play rooney behind him, at least then we'll still have someone up front to receive the ball.

Goal-line technology is to be tested at England's international friendly against Belgium at Wembley on 2nd June.

The Hawkeye system will be installed at the national stadium for the match, which will be Roy Hodgson's first home game in charge of England.

All the tests are being monitored by officials from EMPA, the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology.

But if there are any close calls during the game, the referee will not be informed of the system's results as they are for testing purposes only.

FIFA are currently considering two systems of goal-line technology - Hawkeye and GoalRef - with the final decision expected on 2nd July.

"You don't have to use short passes, not if you use your big man up front" - Roy Hodgson 25th May 2012

Oh and with Downing and Carroll starting tonight the Norwegians will be supporting England.
