International Friendlies - England vs Norway/Belgium [May 26th - June 2nd 2012]

Can only hole the Norwegians really really want to win and put some leg breaking tackles on the England team so we can whittle down the rubbish that just shouldn't be going to the Euros...

I stand by Lambert being the top champ scorer would have been a much better choice than Carroll

Oh and with Downing and Carroll starting tonight the Norwegians will be supporting England.

We're starting Green to copy West Ham's tactics this season!!

Mohammed Abdellaoue is meant to be a pretty decent striker (for Norway).

These 2 friendlies will be a test for us against 'average' European opposition. Norwegian game should be easier, Roy will probably experiment a lot for the first game

Don't really know how to feel about the game tonight. Naturally I'm slightly excited by a new manager (falling in to the same trap as usual), but the squad/team selection has made me feel pretty flat. Can't see us doing anything exciting really.

Think it's 50/50 whether he'll go all out attack or not so thought I'd go with his attacking line up.

Would be very surprised. 4-4-2 is his formation and he rarely deviates away from that. Did it a few times at Liverpool, we actually beat Chelsea using 4-2-3-1 IIRC, but he soon reverted to type.

As Hodgson said in his press-conference yesterday (and when he was at Liverpool too), there's no difference between all these formations. They're all the same.
