International Space Station Overhead tonight - twice

Very Interesting.

Will be looking for this, but could do with some help as It always takes me awhile to learn things :p .So today (8th August) I should look (90 Degree's) west of my house at 10:08pm?

If so, I'll be waiting, although dont have a telescope so hope I can make it out before it whizz's off. :)

use this url to locate the ISS, whenever it's very close to the UK,

then enter your postcode at http://maps.google.co.uk/ click satellite, zoom in to your house. above is north, 90o right is west. so look 10o above the west.

then get time/date from http://spaceflight1.nasa.gov/realda...ion.cgi?country=United_Kingdom&region=England

those informations above were very accurate for me tonight

I don't understand this. How is 90 degrees right the west? Surely that is east?

Ah cool, makes sense now. I bet I forget when it gets to 10:08 tonight :(

I have a DSLR with a 300mm lens, would that be good as a makeshift pair of binoculars?

Not to worry, its visible again at about 11pm or something?

Question.

Ive looked on the Nasa website and it states that you will be able to see it over august on many dates, is it the same for the rest of the year or is this the only time us folk will see it in a long time? :)

All I got was a blob @ 300mm with my 350D.

Probs the 1/50ths shutter speed didn't help much :p

1/150th might be better... hmmm...
