I have done the speed test and im currently at 0.4mb download and 0.3 on the upload.

I had 4.88mbs download the other, whats happening?

Im on Sky Broadband if that helps.

Hi m8,

If you go into the router (http://192.168.0.1 - default username/pass: admin/sky) what speed does it say for synced connection speeds?

Have you recently started the sky service? - they may be profiling your line.

Is the router plugged into the BT master socket?

If you are not new to sky and you are getting a lower speed - they may have done a new profile. If you go onto mysky it should say if they did this recently.

Have you tried re-installing the ethernet drivers?

Have you tried a different ethernet cable and port on the router?

Do you have other computers connected to the network that are downloading at normal speed?

I have not tried re-installing the ethernet drivers, dont have any other ethernet cables, ill try a different port now.
Its just my computer, but that imageshack thing says there could be people on my internet line or something?

I would give updating the drivers and swapping around the ports a go.

If that doesn't work, you might want to consider re-installing windows (just make sure you back everything up if you do).

Have you attempted to reboot the router yet?

Before you do though take a look at your connection stats: http://www.skyuser.co.uk/tutorials/how_to_get_your_sky_netgear_dg934g_router_statistics.html

Post a pic here if you can.

Edit

You will also be able to find out what package you are on by using the MySky link provided by cmndr_andi above.

Sky also tend to take around 7 to 10 days for a training period to get the correct speed for your line so it may drop from time to time.

You could try giving System Restore a bash to a time it was all working.

I rang Sky up and they said that everything was fine and it was my computer and I should get it checked bye a specialist :|

No idea how it could be my computer?
Everything is basically what it was like in the connection status, same speeds as before, restarted the router, and the computer, done everything.

It sounds like you have had quite a few problems with the internet to run at proper speed on this machine.

Can I just confirm you are running the "Realtek RTL8112L LAN Driver V7.6.820.2009 for 32/64bit Windows 7.(WHQL)" network driver at the moment (as downloaded from here).

If so, I think your easiest option is to backup what you need, format disk and install fresh windows. Then re-install drivers/applications. If you still have problems then you may be looking at a hardware error.

Do you have any wireless cards you can borrow in the meantime or an Ethernet cable you can borrow off a friend?
