Er what the ****? So you're admitting to illegal practice and why the hell would you need to "avoid capping" to run a friggin speedtest?
where did i say i needed to avoid capping to run the test? i mentioned it as others had brought it up.....
as for illegal practice.... they can cap me as much as they want as i rarely d/l more than 1gb a day let alone 3gb in a few hours, but what i dont agree with is the crap that come's with being throttled like higher pings and packet loss. a quick setting change in the modem and i have a great connection again
My "up to 8Mbit" Tiscali service came up with 450kb/s on that test, which is a bit of a shocker. The trouble is that it all works, I'm not a heavy downloader and they've had only one outage in a year. Be Unlimited is sounding mighty tempting though...

So after 48 hours i still have'nt been put up to 10mb! Shall i give Virgin a call and maybe some abuse? Im not paying £28 for a 2mb connection!
