I hate 02 on iPhone. They make you take up a additional bolt on for hotspot crap.

Will continue to use my HTC Desire HD for hotspot.

might be an obvious answer byt why not use Mywi ( as long as your phone is jailbroken ? )

Works perfectly with my iphone 4 with Three. Use about 2gb a data per month on average.

I'd like to use the tethering/hotspot on my payg 02 iphone4 but the fact that they may not enable it at all is slightly annoying :-\

I had tethering on my 3gs (on o2 payg) this time last year so taking it away is annoying.

Tempts me into going down the JB route for the first time since my 1st gen Ipod Touch on 1.1.2

You can get it without jailbreaking if you're on 3 :p

Has anyone else been using the Wifi Hotspot for lengthy periods? Ive been using mine for a good hour and half and now cant get online with it, had to reboot the phone to make it work again, was getting really good speeds aswell upto 345 kb/s :)

Also today used the camera and for some strange reason it wouldnt let me use the flash it said the Iphone is too hot and needs to cool down even though I'd just taken it out of my pocked, fine once rebooted :(

Lots of people been complaining about the locked tethering on o2, My iphone is unlocked at the minute as I bought it direct, But I have a o2 simcard in my laptop with 1gb usage onit however I will be selling my laptop soon and the new one im getting wont have built in 3g so I plan to cut the sim card down an use up my money in the iphone for a bit, Will o2 detect its in an iphone and lock me out of tethering?

Just completely frozen and locked up on me :(

Never expected this from apple, Always stuck my Iphones since the 3G, Bet theres a 4.3.1 out soon

This is the kinda **** I expect from Android or Nokia not apple :(

Sounds like you have a hardware issue, that's causing the phone to overheat.

I'm having signal issues, came back from Gatwick airport on a coach yesterday to Manchester and all the way back to Manchester had dropped signal issues. Find this very odd as there are mobile phone masts littering the motorway system all the way, also now iTunes won't sync tonight giving a message to try to re-connect later. God knows what's wrong.

Edit: Re-installed iTunes has helped the sync issue - not holding my breath re signal issue.

Since Jailbrake discussion is allowed I'll put my question here.
Just updated my iPhone 4, however was thinking about Jailbraking it as I haven't tried it before. Is it just a case of simply downloading the relevant software or due to the fact I've just updated to 4.3 mean that I can't jailbrake? I'm a bit of a noob on this!

Sorry Maccy can only jailbreak upto 4.2.1 untethered (meaning can restart without your phone being plugged in and re-jailbreaking each time)

Best of waiting a while til it properly comes out

you can jailbreak on 4.3, but its teathered jailbreak
its best off waiting for an unteathered jailbreak imo, which wont be released till 4.3.1 so my sources say

Does anyone find this FW sliggish ? my IP4 has slowed right down, menus seem to lag, the whole phone feels like 1 second behind

Yes very laggy.

I posted this on the apple forums but they said it was normal...

Sum the vid up, the icons take like 1 - 1.5 seconds longer to become active and inactive to make them jiggle

Its defo not normal.

Yes, this firmware is slightly laggy. Mine is fine 98% of the time but sometimes the animations will judder which is not something you expect from an iPhone. The settings menu seems to judder a bit all of the time, which is slightly annoying but in fairness I am fussy and most people wouldn't even notice it.

That video is certainly NOT normal, its still more or less instant on mine, though I dont have that many apps and folders at the minute.

This seems to be a problem across the board and its just a slightly sloppy release from Apple, I'm sure they'll get it fixed soon.

Have you tried doing a reset and everything like that? Might help.

twice
its this FW its ****

Yes, I got a new i4 the other day and reset it twice to see if it helped but its just the firmware, we have to accept that and wait for an update.

Thankfully it doesn't create any 'real' problems, its just an annoying niggle.
