Im with the others that are not that bothered by a change to lots of things. I really dislike all the widgets and stuf on android. My phone is a utility that does everything I want. I don't want useless summaries of emails, tweets etc that I will have to go into an app for anyway. I seriously can't fathom how social media is so big on mobiles. If I am at work, I won't be using social media on my phone. If I am out and about I will be doing something, not posting to facebook or twitter or checking on friends profiles.
People complain that they have to dig into folders to get at things; just use the search. I am 10 times faster at moving about my computer with an applications launcher than I am using any mouse based input. If they want to tweak interfaces I am perfectly happy with that, I just don't want this idea that different is always better creeping into the OS. Like someone said, half the "flagship" features of android handsets are fun for 10 minutes then remain un-used.
I've used both android and iOS and iOs easily takes it for simple usability. All the extras and extreme customisation available didn't make the phone feel any more personal or capable, it just made it all feel rather disconnected and disjointed. My boss at work recently tried to use the nexus 4 and he said it was great in general, it just didn't feel as good to use or as unified.
