Since upgrading I keep getting sms alerts for miss calls but the phone has signal, on 9.0.2 :(

Hope this isn't a sign of things to come....

My spotlight search is being crap.

I'll search for 'Dental' for example, which is one of the words in the name of the entry for my dental surgery contact, and it gives me text message results instead of the contact.

Similarly if I type in 'Health' for the local health Center contact it gives me two contact listings, but they have nothing to do with health!

It's weird, I have to actually go into the phone app to find the right contact, not had to do that for years

Has 9.0.2 sorted calendar? Ie can you view a day in month view now or does it need double tap, triple tap or not open at all depending how lucky you are
Possibly stupid question - have you got the icon highlighted at the top? If that's not highlighted then you don't get to see a day in month view. Screenie is from iOS 7, but it's the same setup.

iOS 9 has been the buggiest release that I have noticed to date... So much keeps glitching with my 6plus which is a pain (needs hard resetting sometimes).

Still no fix to the podcast app and my iPad is just so slow sometimes, can take 3 or 4 seconds to register a screen press. Very disappointed too :(

236MB of 9.1 downloading now.

Since this is a .1 version, you obviously shouldn't expect it to come with huge new things. iOS 9.1 does, however, feature over 150 new emojis, a selection of which you can see in the image below. iOS now has full support for Unicode 7.0 and 8.0 emojis, by the way.

The Live Photos functionality has been improved too, as it now "intelligently senses when you raise or lower your iPhone", and doesn't record those movements anymore. Of course the usual assortment of bug fixes and performance improvements are to be found in iOS 9.1 as well.

Finally, there's a new option in Settings > Messages, which lets you allow or disable showing photos for your contacts.

I'm installing 9.1 now and keeping my fingers crossed that it'll fix the problem with text message notifications showing a number rather than the contact name.

Edit - Nope, it's still doing it.
