IP Camera setup help

Im trying to setup an IP camera using my static IP address.
With it being static I thought it would be quite easy, but along with a lot of other people, I can't view the stream from outside my own network.

Here is a shot of what the camera is complaining about.
It says that my subnet mast address does not match when as you can see, they do.

Any suggestion welcome.


I have also set the cam to use port 85, so would this be the corect setting in the port forwarding page of the router?

Then to view the cam it would be "my IP":10123

YoungBlood, Is that the only settings for the IP Cam? Can you take a screenshot of the whole settings page please?

Where you said you set up the cam to use port 85, no the "port is 10123". The "IP Address of the cam is 192.168.1.85"

Gateway should be the IP address of the router, DNS x2 should be the IP address of the router too. Your putting the WAN settings into the cam, which should be the LAN settings.

Thats your issue, i assume you're trying to use an external ip address for your internal settings.

And i said ipconfig /all so it confirms your DNS. But it should be the same as your gateway. Reconfirm and enter those settings. Also forward port 85
 
Is the IP you're providing the cctv equipment in the same subnet. E.g. 192.168.1.X (1 upto 255 in ipv4 standards)

Also make sure there is no extra dots or spaces in the settings.

I see you're using BE* Unlimted DNS servers on your local machine, why not let your router handle that? Also. putting BE* Unlimited DNS servers as your gateway will not work.
 
Just make sure everything is in the same subnet. Only put 192.168.1.1 for dns and gateway if thats the IP of your router. e.g. you enter it in and it brings up your routers web page. Make sure the router also has the correct settings set up inside it for the dns. As I see at the moment, as i stated above. You're controlling your DNS via your windows config.
 
The camera is now viewable from outside my network, however I can only access the camera from outside when im using the network cable.

When I remove the network cable from the camera, the wireless takes over fine and it does stream images within my network, but the same address that I use to view the cam "my ip": port number does not work under wireless.

Any suggestions?
