100% agree - I didnt buy an iPad on the basis of waiting for the proper one to turn up...

I didnt get an iPhone until you could MMS and copy & paste - its just something you rely on with Apple and why I never bought an iPod, its only gone through so many iterations because it was an easy way to Apple to monetise things other manufacturers were adding in for free (and Im not talking about SOX compliancy)...

I doubt they will get rid of wifi only models, the beta of ios 4.3 seems to support using the iphone as a wifi hotspot for tethering and if that makes it to release you may finally be able to tether an ipad to an un jailbroken iphone.

The iPad can already do this though, it just uses that adapter which plugs into the 30pin connector and then to your TV, so you can play videos from iPad to TV.

So it certainly is possible but I am starting to doubt that Apple will add these things (SD card slot etc) because then what about all the Apple accessories and sales gained from people buying additional things. :o
 
Just watching BBC breakfast and they had an interview with Sir Elton John about his new film Gnomeo and Juliet. They were talking about how he keeps everything on paper, memorises phone numbers, basically he's a little bit old skool. They moved on to asking him about his new baby and he said...

"I'm going to get an iPad in April. I need to Skype Zac [his son] when I'm away"

Is this confirmation that the iPad2 will be available in April? Surely *Sir* Elton John doesn't have to wait till April for an iPad1 ;)
 
if the new ipad comes out with an SD card slot will we see an i pad that comes with just one internal memory size of say 32gb otherwise whats the point of the SD slot.

if they let you use a SD card to expand the storage then won't everyone one just buy the smallest size ipad available and think of getting an SD card at a later date if they need it or is it going to be used just for pictures and stuff.
