iPad Mini Retina, My Review

Indeed, the lightness of the Air/mini is amazing but I somewhat miss the denseness of older versions.

Same. I do have to say after using it quite a lot in the last month or so it doesn't feel as bad, obviously the sponginess hasn't subsided but i've almost gotten used to it.

Great device though, just wish it had the rock solid screen of the past ipads, would be perfect then.

The air has this downside too, very flimsy almost plastic screen compared to past iterations, in the name of lightness I understand but it is a shame.

I think it is more to do with there being a thin layer of air between the glass and the screen, I believe the iPhone for example has it laminated together and this leads to a bit of a spongey feeling.

Didn't think this warranted its own thread so... ASDA are selling WiFi iPad Minis, 16GB - non retina for £199. Link. Doesn't seem a bad deal, £20 odd cheaper than anywhere else I could find.
