Don't listen to him. You need one friday or will be left behind!

Try reserving online to pickup in one of the stores - presuming there are any left to reserve in store

I was kind of worried regarding 6 plus size so printed off that template thing. My calculator is practically exactly the same size as the 6 plus so tried it out and it fits into my pocket fine and comfortably.

I wish the new iPhones looked as good as my calculator :p

Hugely debating about whether to sell my retina iPad Mini now that I've got an iPhone 6 64gb coming my way, originally got the iPad Mini for more screen estate to watching things on the commute but thinking now the iPhone 6 may suffice.

So I have a Iphone 6plus silver ordered..

Would you guys recommend Applecare+ ? I'm usually pretty careful but with this phone being larger.. who knows!

To be honest nobody can recommend it as such - it's the standard Apple warranty doubled, along with two opportunities to replace a damaged phone at a great price, so it's going to be good. If you're clumsy, absolutely. If not, just keep in mind that if you do have a bad day and drop your phone, it'll cost you more to replace your phone that one time without AppleCare+ than it would to replace your phone twice if you had it. I've gone without it myself.

Also be aware that you only have two months to decide whether to buy it, unlike the previous AppleCare where you could buy it at any time within your standard warranty period.

So are you really going to buy a phone you dont really want because you can't wait a little?

I think you mis understood, I said the 6+ is the more interesting device, since it has OIS and the iPad view. But I want the smaller phone. Waiting won't really change anything will it, if it doesn't fit properly in my hand now thats not gonna change in a month.

Also if I don't get on with iOS I can flog it for a lot right now then in 1-2 months.

Gone for a 6 16gb Space Grey. Never had a problem with space on my 5 16gb. Was tempted with the 6+ but i think it might just be a little too big, plus I have an iPad.

Instead of upgrading through EE decided to buy outright and get a giff gaff sim. saves a fortune over two years.

Consider going with Three instead. giffgaff have really gone down the ******* recently, and now they are now going to be throttling £12 and £15 goodybags down to 300Kbps with a 3GB and 5GB FUP respectively. This is on top of the fact that their network is now awful anyway.

If Three gives you decent signal in areas you frequently visit, there is little reason to go for giffgaff.

I agree with this, sadly. I've been with giffgaff for around 3-4 years and they've been okay but in the past year they've had a number of outages this past year and the O2 network itself is lagging behind competitors.

I've ordered a Three sim so I can check out the coverage. Will switch over to them when my 6 arrives if all is well.

As someone who does a fair bit of mobile gaming, iOS is still leaps ahead [in my opinion]. The quality control on the App Store is still much stricter than the Google Play Store.

For example (despite it being a terrible game, it is a good example), when Swing Copters was released recently, I found and downloaded it within a minute (on my 5S). Whereas my friend tried to download it on his HTC M8, and didn't know which app to get, as there were around 200 apps with the same name, some of them even had the same developer name as the original developer.

I have played a number of games that were on iOS and Android (back when I had a Nexus 7), and the majority of them ran better on my iPhone. The android versions often had more bugs, or had reduced features. (e.g. Hungry Shark Evolution would often crash on the Nexus 7, completely wiping the save game file as well :()

The only thing holding iOS gaming back is the controller support, and while it is now possible to get some controllers, they are horrifically expensive. Although I have just jailbroken my iPad so I can use my 360 controller :p

This. I'm leaving GiffGaff now the data speeds are atrocious lately, I can't even reliably stream music on my commute even though it's entirely HSDPA. Moving to the Three £15pm deal.

Have you got a source for this? If this is true, I'll be going to Three as well
