I'm leaning towards keeping it now after playing with a bit longer. It is a really really nice device. I can browse this forum at arms length rather than holding it in front of my face.

Just look after it and you'll have a couple of weeks to decide.

Surprised that my local CPW syill had some Iphone 6 in stock this afternoon, and they had no one queuing for one this morning.

I just got mine from CPW at 6 too, was expecting to have to wait for it.

How long do we think it'll take for devs to update scaling etc? Loads of apps look stupendously big and fuzzy atm, it's really jarring moving between the home screens and an app. How long did it take for iPhone 5 apps to become border free?

Here is a 3 year old using a Plus, you'll get used to it!

I generally use a phone with one hand though, holding with right and operating everything with right thumb. I also like to hold it, sitting it on my little finger and reach from bottom to top with my thumb, which on the 6 I can only just. 6+ no chance.

Id like to see that 3 year old kid do try that without dropping it!

Got a buzz on the door 10 mins after getting in from work, thankfully UK Mail were correct in their estimate. Took about 20 mins to setup from a backup. Even though I got a normal 6 my thumb doesn't reach the far edge. I need thumb elongation.

Anyone else got the Spigen Neo Hybrid case for it? The side buttons on the case are rubbish, no feedback and the volume buttons are tempremental as to whether your going to get Vol Up or Vol Down. I like the case its just let down by these side buttons.

Not sure whether to try another Spigen case or not, maybe one with a cutout for the phones side buttons. Also a lot of these screen protectors available seem very narrow and JUST fit the width of the screen.

Screen resolution of the 6 is very underwhelming from what I can see. Its basically 720p res? My old galaxy s4 has a massively superior screen

how many games and apps did you use that where actually running at 1080 though ? considering they all have to run on every android phone and res..

you might fit a full web page in the browser with 1080 but you still need to zoom unless your on a note sized 'thing'.


this was and still is my biggest gripe with the 6 but side by side you can hardly actually tell

I've got that case. I agree that the buttons do feel a little numb but I've not had the volume up/down problem.

Mine arrived today and I was lucky as I received a text saying delivery was between 10am and 11:30am but had to go to work so was expecting a Saturday re-delivery.

I finished work early and received a call from the driver apologizing he was late and he would deliver in the next 20 mins - just got home in time to receive my shiny new apple.

problem is I forgot to get a case so have used an old sock for now, when i say old I don't think I've washed it because it smells horrible.

Not the Neo, but I have the Spigen Air cushion. All button placements are great. It does make the phone a bit wider though.

I tried the Apple leather case and its too slippy and not enough protection really. Will try the Apple silicone one tomorrow

Would have been nice if Apple but some none slip material on the side of the phone so you have less chance of dropping it.... maybe not, more money to throw at cases

Early adopters always get this sort of fun, a lot of the 3rd party apps need updating to make the best of the larger screen.

My other half has just come home with the plus version...I must say it is quite stunning. If the new iPad is anything similar in design then it is a day one purchase for me.

So both my 6 and 6 Plus arrived before lunch. I've tried different apps, games, websites etc. on them. I've had them in the pockets of different shorts, jeans and suits, I've held them in one hand while wandering around with my briefcase in the other. All in all I've tried to give them a good trial.

My concluding thoughts:

-- The 6 Plus screen is amazing
-- The 6 Plus viewing modes of e.g. email are great and genuinely useful. I imagine several other apps will deliver their iPad experience to the 6 Plus.
-- Reachability is a bit... naff. Frustrating.
-- I can't use the 6 Plus one handed in a productive way

As a result, I have decided to keep the 6.
