Thats a feature, called reachability. Its a double tap (not press) of the touch ID/home button on iPhone 6 & 6+ and lowers whatever is on screen to make it reachable on the larger devices.

It really isn't, there's many occasions where I'd need to use the phone one handed and especially on a large screen. This was regularly an issue on my Note 2 so I'm quite happy to see this feature.

The feature itself is excellent, however without a keyboard in the 'half' feature it is absolutely useless. I.e. when you want to use one hand to respond to texts you cannot!

Ordered a 6 :) just got to wait a couple weeks for it to come. I am looking forward to it as should be a big upgrade coming from a 4.

Anyone else seeing the reports about the 6 Plus bending if kept in a 'tight' pocket for too long?

A guy on Mac Forums posted a pic here.

I suppose a phone that size made of aluminum will do that but I can see a lot of people getting angry about this!

Shocker as thin object gets bent when pressure applied across surface. I have seen other phones bend too under varying circumstances (1 in trouser pocket, 1 in handbag and 1 in backpack). I would expect the problem to only get worse though with phones seemingly getting bigger and bigger.

Wow just checked my 6 Plus and it's definitely bent aswell. Mine's bent across the diagonal, so it rocks when laid flat on the desk from corner to corner :(. It's barely been in my pocket, and only when walking!

Gonna wait until the Apple Store gets quieter and compare to a demo model, still concerned about the vibrate aswell.

To all the folks that got the £19.99 EE Sim-only deal (2GB, 2000 minutes, U Texts), if you take another look at the site they've just put a temporary deal up for just £2 more which gives 5GB, Unlimited, Unlimited.

I've just called up and they've let me pay the extra and go for that one, worth doing if you took out the same one folks ;)

Hmm you dont hear of many bent phablets. it cant be just the size of the device when people were bending iPhone 5's otherwise the internet would be rife with complaints of bent 4"+ devices. looking at teardowns, the iphones are like tin boxes without the glass front on. it's not surprising that they can be bent whatever size the device is.

Are most of the other phablets plastic?

For reference, the 3 phones I know of were 2 iphone 5's and an S4.

It was a bit of sarcasm however size is ofcourse going to be a contributory factor simply as the larger the size the more force can be applied across its surface. Another possible factor is that iphones are aluminium against the large majority of others being plastic and the plastic more readily regains its straight shape.

All speculation though, maybe it is a manufacturing fault and it turns out they came bent.

According to the battery usage, I've used the device for 54 minutes and had it on standby for 3hrs and I'm only down to 98%
