Who's using a note 4 with one hand?

I have big hands but I almost always use my 5S with two hands :p

Some people's hands are as big as their heads. :p

The S5 is a perfect size and as large as I want to go. I'll pass on these.

Think I'll wait to upgrade my 4S. Waiting on inductive charging really.

Might be tempted by an iPad Mini when they refresh that. Hopefully in time for when my contract runs out in December.

A definite chuckle :p but I think even Marques himself explained how specs don't really mean much when it comes to Apple. I remember him comparing the iP5 or iP5s with specs from an Android phone for years ago (perhaps a GS2) and yet Apple devices still slaughter most competition in graphical benchmarks.

Indeed, it's a highly suspect comparison which most people recognise, but it is funny. :p

Really, this all comes down to what software you want. You're paying a premium for iOS as well as the hardware, it's all part of the package.

A link to that video would be greatly appreciated.

Not trolling as I am seriously considering one!! But this is at least fairly funny, lol

Haha, that's awesome :)

All apple have done is throttled the 6 to leave space for a 6S with a bigger battery, 2mb ram and a proper 1080p screen.

Shame really for me as I would have liked to make the jump to a iPhone but probably good business sense as many people will buy this and then buy a 6s in a year.

And the brand name :)

Which is arguably worth every penny given the customer service attached.

I've had to help someone deal with Samsung over a new(ish) laptop return fault and to say their customer service was an absolute nightmare is a massive understatement. I've no problem with Samsung in general but this made me think twice, it's not an isolated thing either.

I have pretty good eyes and can't physically see the difference between my iPhone 5 screen and work HTC M8 pixel wise, why are people so keen for 1080 screens???

Surely 16:9 is more important if you are going to watching stuff, it's not like we have multiple Windows open on phones so the extra screen real estate can be put to use (although wou would probably need binos to read anything :D

Or am I missing something/have **** eyes?

I'm the same, the race for more pixels is boring. You just end up pixel doubling to be able to see anything.

People argued about 720p vs 1080p on TVs, now it's the same argument on phones. I know you're closer but I doubt I could see the difference.

I can notice a huge difference in aliasing, things like thin fonts that are the new hot thing just look so much better and cleaner. Its less about seeing pixels for me and more things just looking sharper.

I notice this difference comparing Nexus 4 vs 5.

Built-in obsolescence. Battery lasts 1,000 charge/discharge cycles. Battery can't be easily replaced. 2.5 - 3 years from new, your phone is a paperweight unless you pay to have the battery replaced.

So for that sort of shelf life you would be well advised to buy something at half the price and which will let's face it do the same job for all but the most demanding user.

With the talk of UK NFC etc... I do get annoyed that the UK lags with new apple products so you can't fully use the features (iTunes radio for instance).

But we have had contact-less payment options on credit and debit cards for some years now. This is surely just a similar thing - a case of Apple playing catchup with the rest of the world - again. I'm just as happy to wave my debit card at a reader as a smartphone. You could even use Android. :D

Apart from the phone being a bit larger and a few tweaks here and there it is something of a damp squib. Not a purchase I would consider making when there's better about for less.
