Hardcore Android user here.
Went from Iphone 1 to iphone 2 skipped iphone 3, went to Android S2 , S3 , S4 then S5.
Going to the S5 has thrown me in to a serious rage! What a pile of ****pimping it with completely unnecessary crap! It's laggy, unintuitive and just a general PITA.
So I just got a 5s, let's see what's going on in this side of the world

This part here always shocks me, I have so many friends that love their S5/S4 and without any modification it is horrible to use, there was a video where a guy showed the Moto E (£60 phone) was faster at almost everything, it opened apps faster, scrolled smoother, things loaded faster.
When your highend device can't keep up with a budget device you know your doing something wrong.

Glad to hear its not just me that has this opinion of the galaxy s5. I honestly think the s3 and s4 are better phones than the s5. It really is a nasty pimped up piece of tat.
I'll still be staying with android though, just won't be buying another Samsung phone. Htc or LG for me next I think

I really want to move to android everytime a new iphone comes out, but one thing that seriously bothers me is the android keyboard. It's absolutely terrible (for me), i just cant type with it.
If i could get the exact, responsive keyboard from iOS to android, I'd switch to atleast try it out.

Yes, I've had one on my 5S for about a year now. Not sure what model case I have but its quite minimal around the edges and clear backed. Can't fault it really, not bulky and has protected the phone from the few drops its had.
Just download one of the numerous keyboard options from the android store. There'll be a keyboard out there that you like.

I'm curious about your opinion if you'd be willing to do a quick post in a week or so after you've had time to play.
I've tried quite a few when experimenting on other phones. I think it's something to do with the actual keyboard in android working differently. iOS keyboard seems so responsive, where as the android one just feels like its on a one second delay. No matter what keyboard i download.

I went from S3 to a Moto G and it's a much smoother phone to use, especially the gallery although spec-wise S3/Moto G is much closer then S5/ Moto E
I use them, Saturn one I think. I like them as the case is flush with the screen so it doesn't get in the way when you're swiping side to side.

Yeah, Android at this point is very smooth but Samsung manage to make it feel worse then Android pre ICS at times, its amazing.

I've had one on my 5 since release, the Neo Hybrid.
It's a two part case but doesn't add any extra bulk at all really, I can recommend.
