Nope, you will need a PAC code from Three and when you sign up with EE they should have a Q & A area showing how to port your number.

Newsflash - most photography and video recording is candid shots. Nobody is saying "take professional photos and videos on a phone". They're saying "you know what, for holiday photos and videos of people jumping into a pool this is fine". And they are right. The camera market is now smartphones and professional gear (and old people who don't understand smartphones but that's a statistical blip).

Things like this should be far easier than they are IMO. The thought of me trying to transfer my number to a new network immediately makes me think I'm going to spend hours on the phone to foreign people who don't understand what I want to do.

I've transferred before and helped others. It was pretty effortless tbh. Every rep knew what I was talking about and just gave me the PAC with no questions asked.

My point has already been made above. In this day and age home video is simply that, candid clips. Why do I need the hassle of a separate device that I've got to carry around with extra batteries, storage, etc, not to mention I then have to pull the video off and mess around with it to make it usable. With a smartphone you can get ~80-90% of the capability for no extra cost

What's the optical Zoom like on the smartphone then? I have none on my Galaxy.

PAYG ? Probably more than sim free direct from Apple if history is anything to go by or the same price at least. 5S from O2 is still £529!!

I thought I remembered some of the older iPhones going live at midnight (maybe just me?) but I'm 99% certain the 5S it didn't come up until around 8am.

I'm going to order a 64GB grey 6 and 6+ and keep what I prefer - I just can't decide! If I haven't found someone at work on via FB who'll buy the other one off me within a week I'll just return it.

Like the Spigen posted earlier but they don't do one that matches the white

Have you given any thought to the thin spigen cases? I've really liked the look of similar cases on my 5s (grey). I've got plenty of colours if you want any pictures of it. For some reason, they only demonstrate the colours on the white iPhones

It tends to sell out within the first 30 mins, so using the app usually gives you no problem. I've done it for 3 past iPhone launches and got 2 of them on release day - I was still one of the first to get the 5s out of those who ordered online, IIRC.

Just call the 'thinking of leaving' line or select all the options to direct you to them in the menus. You tend to get people who work in quieter call centres and will try and get you to stay by offering you a good deal, but if you just say you're not interested they typically give you your PAC with no fuss.

I believe that the 4S and 5 were both midnight sales, not certain about the ones before. The 5s was the only one that wasn't (out of the ones I've pre-ordered), that was indeed 8am

Yep, that's been the case in the past for previous iPhones. That is assuming it doesn't go live for sale at midnight.

CPW tend to have a few aswell if you keep your eye out. Also, I think 3 have decent unlocking policies.

Yes, although as ever, a ridiculous number of people have the same idea so it can sometimes slow to a grinding halt. The app tends to be a bit more stable than the website though.

I'm on 3 but would like to stick with 3 as I like unlimited Internet, unlimited teathering for £5 pm and also free feel at home net and Internet.

Can I get a PAC from 3 and port my number back to 3. I would just upgrade but I'm my phone over to a business contact.

Is it best just to order at 8 am tomorrow then sort out the porting later?
