Well, after all that bendgate stuff my business partner managed to bend his iPhone 6 in his pocket.

The bottom left of the shell bent backwards creating a gap between the shell and the glass. Definitely not impact damage due to the extent of the bend and the fact that the glass is pristine.

Had one of the official leather cases on it since the moment it came out of the box.

Brought it into the store expecting them to replace it under warranty, nope, £250 to get it fixed (swapped out)

I'd already paid £110 for Apple Care +, so they only charged me £55.

Really not too happy about the whole experience considering all the focus on using a stronger aluminium alloy on the 6S series and improved shell design. Why put all that effort into making it stronger if it was already strong enough? Kind of acknowledging the old material and design might not be up to scratch, no?

I was going to let it go, but it really bothers me that something like this could have happened at all in day to day use. Surely the phone isn't fit for purpose if it's possible to bend in the pocket? When paying so much for a premium top of the line product, this shouldn't happen.

They fobbed me off if the store saying I had to contact Apple support directly if I wanted to take it further. Spent 15 minutes on their website and playing with their support system looking for an email address to forward the work authorization email to along with a cover letter and couldn't find one. Called support and they put me on hold for 15 minutes while they tried to obtain an email address for me. They couldn't, eventually suggested I use the iPhone feedback page, but the character count was too short for the email alone. They then suggested I print out my email and post it to their office in Cork, Ireleand! Errr...what?!

Luckily managed to find an email address for the business team at my local store, but wouldn't have that if I hadn't signed up for a business account only a few weeks ago. What a pain it is trying to email a real person there.

Shame really, I've only ever had really great experience with Apple CS in the past. Quite disappointed with this.
